I am originally from Minsk, Belarus, in the former Soviet Union. I grew up in Boston and lived in Chicago for seven years before moving to Los Angeles. I love it here.
My dream has always been to make films. I studied film criticism at the University of Illinois and was active in student productions, ultimately directing a 40-minute "feature", ASSASSINS, about the water gun game taken to deadly extremes. It's a goofy film.
In 2012, I wrote, directed, and edited White Elephant, a science fiction action short that was accepted into the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival.
I'm currently developing Reelection, a web series that tells the story of an election day told from the point of view of Jamie, a mid-level campaign staffer. The reelection campaign is going well and things are looking bright until the team is blindsided by an unceremonious loss — everyone is dumbfounded, except Jamie. Losing comes as no surprise to her because unbeknownst to anyone else, she has been repeating this election day again and again — reliving every moment, conversation, and turn of events, ad nauseum.
Shooting begins summer of 2013.
