Road Trip ‘08

July 24th, 2008 · 3 Comments

It’s a mere coincidence that I’ve finally set up my blog right before embarking on what promises to be an awesome roadtrip. But I’ll take it. Looks like the first solid chunk of posts on here will be about RoadTrip ‘08. Kathleen, Brian and I will be leaving Chicago on Saturday, August 30th and arriving in Los Angeles on Thursday the 4th. We’ll spend a couple days there and fly back on Sunday.

Brian and I hope to do some geo-tagging of photos and blogging from the road. We’ll see how that pans out.

This is the route we’ll be taking:

We are embarking on an incredible journey. Lao Tzu once said that “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step,” to quote another wise scholar, “Not so fast asshole.”

The journey of a thousand miles begins with renting a car, ordering plane tickets, and other such things.

To summarize: I’ll be surprised if I make it past El Paso.

Memphis: Stax Soul Museum, Graceland (duh), Sun Studios, Beale Street (step into BB King’s club, especially if he’s planning to make an appearance). Limestone caves in Arkansas.

I’ll see if I can find that pillow that smells like farts for you.
